Fethi, the owner, has spent years curating a fascinating collection of vintage cameras, antique irons and original paintings that bring character and history to every room and corridor. The kitchen is run with real passion. Fresh produce is harvested daily from the hotel's own organic garden, and the family's grandmother is the beating heart of the cooking operation. Her slow-roast lamb, prepared in a traditional clay oven, is not to be missed — many guests say it's the best meal of their entire trip.
A short 10–15 minute walk from the hotel brings you to Driftwood Beach — a peaceful, crowd-free stretch of coastline included in your stay at no additional cost.

The Lapta coastal promenade is one of the area's great pleasures — a scenic waterfront walk with sweeping views, ending at the charming Sardunya Bay where boat trips and a relaxed beachside restaurant await. Families will enjoy The Wild Duck, a short two-minute drive from the hotel, with a small animal park that younger guests particularly love. As evening falls, the Lapta Strip comes alive — The Fly Inn and The Lodge are both popular choices, with open-air seating and views across the water. Prefer something more urban? The local dolmuş runs straight into Kyrenia, a 30-minute journey to the town's lively harbour quarter.

Driftwood Beach is a 10–15 minute walk from the hotel and included in your stay at no extra charge. It's a quiet, unhurried stretch of coastline — sunbeds, calm water and a welcoming atmosphere far removed from the crowded resort beaches. The on-site Driftwood Restaurant & Bar holds a 2026 TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award and is well worth a visit for lunch or a sundowner.
Some holiday moments stay with you for years — and this is one of them. Fethi's mother, a Cypriot lady with a lifetime of baking tradition behind her, takes guests through the process of making authentic Cypriot bread entirely from scratch. You'll knead the dough, shape your own loaf and slide it into the stone oven — then wait for the result. Freshly baked, warm and utterly delicious. North Cyprus has a winemaking heritage that most visitors never get to discover — because many of its finest bottles are produced in such small quantities they never reach UK shelves.
