The British Hotel is a small and friendly establishment located right on the historic Kyrenia Harbour – the very heart of Kyrenia town!
This traditional hotel has 18 rooms and it is located right in the middle of Kyrenia’s old town, tucked away on a narrow street full of charming character, leading down to the vibrant harbour. The hotel rooms are, with the upper floors having unmatched views of the beautiful harbour. All guests are guaranteed to enjoy the warm hospitality of the owner Mr Hamza and his family. During the right seasons, the delicious oranges from the owners’ garden are freshly squeezed for juice at breakfast.

The hotel is merely a few steps away from the popular Kyrenia Harbour with plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars, and it is only a short walk away from the centre of town with lots of shops. The hotel is also ideally situated from a number of historical places of interest, such as the magnificent Kyrenia Castle on the other end of the harbour, as well as the wonderdul Carob and Cyprus Life Museum halfway around the harbour which features displays of carob and olive production and exhibits of local handicraft and a film of times gone by. The Archangelos Michael Church, now known as the Icon Museum, is also within a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.
If you happen to be in Cyprus on the 20th July, you will be in for an exhilarating air show which can be watched uninterruptedly from the hotel’s roof terrace. Regardless, the hotel’s roof terrace is an excellent place to spend some time in with its stunning views of the harbour and the Mediterranean Sea.
Breakfast is served in the lobby area usually as an open buffet with a choice of eggs and fresh fruit in season. The lobby bar is open all year round whilst the roof bar which has spectacular views over the harbour, is open in summer.
Although The British Hotel does not provide its own entertainment, you can stroll down the harbour in matter of seconds to enjoy the atmosphere of its vibrant bars and popular restaurants.
