The Merit Park Hotel is in a good position for venturing around Kyrenia. Heading towards Lapta, you will pass The Martyrs Monument and The Peace and Freedom museum on your right hand side. There is also the Lapta coastal walk to experience – a purpose built promenade along one of the most picturesque coasts on the island. The walk starts near the Hotel Sempati and ends at Sardunya Bay, a stunning sandy cove to have a rest and enjoy the waves on the shore against your feet.
The centre of Kyrenia with its abundance of shops and attractive coffee shops is also easily reachable within a 15 minute drive. Heading this way it’s a nice idea to stop off for a coffee in the beautiful mountain village of Karaman situated close by. Here you can not only take some memorable photos of the stunning views, but also take some time to explore and find the fascinating Bronze Age cemetery.
If you fancy dining out for a change, The Ambiance Restaurant is collaboration between two of Northern Cyprus’s most experienced restaurateurs. It serves one of the most extensive menus and varied range of foods on the island. Located in the neighbouring village of Karaoglanoglu, this popular restaurant has beautiful views and a great atmosphere (booking for this restaurant is essential).

In addition to this, The Merit Park also has a smaller indoor pool, perfect for simmering down after a workout in their gym or a winter warm up during the colder months.
