Car hire is advisable, however, If you fancy a walk, then Northern Cyprus’ only waterfall, is situated in the village of Malatia. The Lapta coastal walk is another favourite, so should you fancy taking an evening stroll along the promenade, one of the most stunning coastlines of Kyrenia can be found, just a 15-minute drive away. Make sure you take a camera, as the views are simply unmissable! Simply the Hotel receptionist or Tour Rep for directions. At the end of the walk, is the beautiful Sardunya Bay, where guests can partake of a refreshing drink and light snack whilst sitting on the soft golden sands.

For those who have hired a car, take a moment to indulge in scenic stops along the way to Kyrenia. The nearby Peace and Freedom Museum, with its historical war memorial monument, provides a great place in which to take a quick holiday snap!

There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from in the surrounding area and just a 15-minute walk away is the popular Acmenya which boasts a delicious menu as well as a large children’s play area for the kids to enjoy.  Should you fancy a spot of high tea, then they also serve fancy cakes and coffee.  On venturing a little further down the Lapta Strip, The Riverside’s sister restaurant called Calamari, offers a fantastic seafood menu, alongside a selection of tasty alternatives and stunning coastal. In addition, The Fly Inn and The Lodge are also located along the Strip, both of which offer great evening entertainment and host regular karaoke and popular live music events.
